Delightful and very hard to find, 5 inch tall, all bisque,
early issue,
Nancy Ann storybook doll has
incised
mark with
jointed legs
and arms wit
h pudgy tummy,
molded socks and molded bangs
beneath her original long,
thick wavy, blonde hair
with side part. Circa,
1937-38,
from their "Fairyland" series and listed as
model
#153
"Little Bo Peep"(#21)
(shown on
page 183,
first NASB, red cover book, "Encyclopedia of Nancy Ann Story Book Dolls") this little sweetheart with be a great addition to your collection ♥ as she is in perfect condition with lovely molded and painted features, short arms and wearing all her original clothing:
pale pink organdy dress with short sleeves & lace trim, over skirt panniers
with
blue floral rosebud print,
darling petticoat and pantaloons with matching lace trim
. She also has perfectly painted black slippers and adorable
molded socks.
She has no lifting paint, no paint flakes, no chips or nicks, no cracks or hairlines and no repairs (small brown mark under back flap of skirt). She also has no fading, stains or odors as she is from a smoke free home. Other NASB dolls shown are
not included
and listed separately.
