  • Condition: Doll collection dates to the late 1930s, circa 1936-40. Dolls are well-used and two are missing an arm (the small blonde doll and blonde doll in wedding gown, the 2nd and 3rd pictures). Small blonde doll also has noticeable forehead wear.

    Good day.
    For sale is one lot (five individual items) of Nancy Ann Storybook Dolls from the late 1930s.  All dolls have dresses.  Two are missing an arm (see description above regarding blonde dolls in picture #2 and #3).
    The "NASB"  found on the backs of these dolls stands for "
    Nancy Ann Story Book" Doll Company which once produced these all-bisque dolls.  The Nancy Ann Doll Company operated from 1936 through 1971 and was founded by Nancy Ann Abbott in San Francisco, California.  The company's first dolls were made of bisque, while their later dolls were made from hard plastic.
    Nancy Ann dolls are of decent quality and are very collectable today.
