A Very Independent Lady for July #193 from the Dolls of the Month Series. 6” frozen leg bisque doll. Her face paint is very good. She wears a dress with a red and white striped bodice and a blue taffeta skirt. Red and white ribbons are stitched at the waist. Dress is a very deep blue with no fading like many NASB blues. Dress is very crisp and I see no holes, tears or stains. She has a crisp long white slip and long bloomers. No safety pin in back, but rather a straight pin holds her dress together. She wears a red ribbon in her hair. Her blond hair retains most of its original set. She has her correctly labeled box. Box and lid may have foxing and/or discoloration due to age. The red dots on the box seem to have faded to a lighter shade. There is writing on the box bottom: Marilyn E…(can’t quite read the last name). There is also the remnant of an old price sticker on the box bottom. Lid has a tear in one corner. Stored in a nonsmoking and pet free home.
