Antique NANCY ANN Storybook 5 1/2" doll-Belle-Sleepy Eye, Molded Lash-Clothing

Lot is for a 1940's vintage doll by NANCY ANN--This doll is part of the Story Book series (as is noted by the markings on the back of her torso), which says :  "STORY BOOK/DOLLS/U.S.A./TRADEMARK/REG."
Doll is dressed in a very pretty pink satin dress with colorful flower motifs in blue and red.  The doll also sports the distinctive Nancy Ann bronze safety pin holding the back of the dress together.  Sleeves are trimmed in delicate lace, and at the waist and near the bottom it is trimmed with a blue velvet band.  There is a pink net/lace half slip under the dress.  She has on the short pantaloon underwear, and the painted-on black slippers.
Doll comes with a pretty pink felt summer hat with a blue velvet ribbon holding a dried flower/leaf.  Doll is also a "sleepy eye" doll, meaning the doll's eyelids close when she is reclined.  Her face is the "Molded lash" variety, and the lashes are attached on the eyelids.  She has bright blue "starburst" eyes with black pupils.  Strawberry Blonde "hair" (mohair) is in pretty nice condition.
Doll is well made, and her arms and legs are secure and work well.  Overall, a really pretty and well-cared-for example of a 1940's vintage antique doll.
